Hi friends and welcome to the Chateau Anna website. Neil here, the owner and manager of 3 beautiful period holiday homes in the historical City of York.
Originally from Lancashire, but now an adopted “Yorkshire Man” i’ve lived here for almost a decade ( Wow, time really does fly ). In 2017 i began to let one of my properties “The Bishy”, closely followed by “Victoria Bar” and “The Courtyard”.
High expectations
I’m extremely passionate about ensuring your stay is as perfect as possible. After all, i’d love you to want to return and to tell all your friends how wonderful your stay was. Last year Airbnb accredited me as a Super Host ( so i must be doing something right ) and i’ve now gain over 600 reviews from previous happy holidayers.
Living in the city i’m close by and always on hand should you need anything. I can also give you a ‘locals” insight on the best places to eat and drink as well as the must see sights.
All the Chateau Anna properties are a short walk from the city centre and immaculately presented. They have all been recently renovated with new beds, mattresses and soft furnishings. On arrival you’ll be welcomed with fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of wine.
Our Host Neil went above and beyond for our stay in York. Lovely apartment for our 2 day stay, a short walk from town. Clean and tidy apartment just perfect for our short stay.

Clapping for carers and then some…
As everyone is aware, the hospitality industry was negatively affected by the pandemic with tourists to our wonderful city dropping to zero overnight.
Whilst everyone abided by the lockdown rules, worked from home and practiced social distancing, our amazing key workers and heroic NHS cracked on regardless.
During the lockdowns we really got to see the community spirit in people ( Captain Tom anyone? 👏👏👏) and i wanted to do my bit. So, opening up the Chateau Anna properties, free of charge to NHS workers enabled me to provide them some rest bite from the enormous task they were facing.
We had over XX stays in all, with this being one of the only positives for Chateau Anna through-out the lockdowns. Hopefully you’ll agree a small gesture to say a massive thank you to the NHS. 🌈
