For places to eat and drink its best to book in advance, there’s the obvious ones along the riverside but if you fancy something a little more sophisticated then there’s the Fossgate area; Sutlers, The Hop (live music and pizza is served), Fossgate Social, Brew York as well as the Cosy Club, further down is a wine bar called Cave which is nice.
I also recommend the Trinacria, the Pig and Pastry and The Angel on the Green as well as The Slip Inn and the Swan which are a couple of great pubs (All within minutes of Bishy Road).
My personal favourite is a quirky bar called “The House of Trembling Madness” on Stonegate or the newer one on Lendal.
As well as this there’s The Sotano, Botanist, Kennedys, Bobo Lobo, Biltmore, 1331 to mention a few for later drinks.
